Guidance for Navigating Moral Landscapes

Description

Starting from the ancient motif of "Heracles at the Crossroads," Prof. em. Dr. Paul Michel examines the symbolic meaning of paths, intersections, and directional decisions. The lecture shows how such visual motifs have been used since antiquity to illustrate questions of virtue, responsibility, and conduct of life, and why they have not lost their relevance to this day. The focus is on the question of which orientation aids can guide us through the moral landscapes of the present.
