Description

The singing extraordinary singing parts, two-part, carefully arranged, confidently sung with skill and feeling. Solid melodies and vocal phrases alternate with improvisation parts full of joy in making music and discovering. The guitar sounds from beyond - sophisticated chord progressions combine with modern electric guitar technology to create extraordinary song accompaniment. Skillful solo passages, sounds, and voicings complement singing and flute to pieces of own and special character. The flute classical skills and intense expression combine with joy in improvising to impressive solo excursions and extraordinary accompaniment structures. The double bass feeling and skills of the jazz bassist with classical training and immense experience in various styles make the music shine. Peter Aigner, a self-taught musician, grew up with jazz, blues, folk, and rock in the jazz city of Burghausen. He continued with fusion, funk, and Latin, and now in Munich, played in jazz and jazz rock bands, among others with Martin Seeliger, Mike Reithmeier, Wolfgang Roth, Alex Haas, Julian Feifel, Tony Lush, Rudolph Roth. In recent years, he has been on stage with his solo program AIGNER Xang & Gitarre and currently plays in the trio "Way of Jazz" with Johanna Keupp and Gary Todd, in the jazz duo OMOS with Gary Todd, and in the singer-songwriter duo "Federbunt" with Günter Renner. He writes and arranges music. For example, songs and lyrics for the musicals "Der wilde Jäger von Gmund" and "Johnny kehrt z‘ruck" by Andreas Kern for the Tegernseer Volkstheater. Additionally, he wrote arrangements for numerous children's songs of various "Lillebi" CDs and - during his teaching career - many pieces for his students and bands. He is co-founder of OHRWURM, a school for modern and classical music in Munich, where he also teaches guitar and band workshops. Johanna Keupp's musical work was long solely focused on classical music and the flute. Growing up in Munich, she initially studied at the Richard-Strauss-Conservatory, then at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she graduated with distinction. During her studies, she was frequently a guest at major Munich orchestras, regularly engaged as a soloist by various chamber orchestras, including the Munich Bach Soloists. For several years, she has also been part of the core cast of stage music at the Bavarian State Opera. Her great musicality and tone culture make her a sought-after chamber music partner. Always fascinated by singing, she began taking lessons in 2006, and to her own surprise, singing quickly developed into a second professional pillar. Her extensive repertoire as a mezzo-soprano ranges from the Renaissance to contemporary music, including both concert and opera literature. Now, in a trio with Peter Aigner and Gary Todd, Johanna Keupp can demonstrate her versatility as a musician in the world of Bossa Nova, swing, jazz, and blues. Gary Todd learned bass from Ralph Peña, Lester Remsen, and Oliver Mitchell. After playing in the orchestras of Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, and Don Ellis, he moved to Germany. There, he was a member of the group Between (Hesse Between Music, 1974, Stillness over Time, 1980), formed by Peter Michael Hamel, in the quartet of Horst Jankowski, and later in the group Mirrors by Stephan Diez; he also played in the Paul Kuhn Big Band and orchestras of Hugo Strasser and Max Greger. He participated in numerous TV and radio productions. On concert tours through almost all European countries, Australia, Japan, and South Africa, he accompanied various artists such as Udo Jürgens. He also played with Mel Tormé, Attila Zoller, Charly Antolini/Ack van Rooyen (Jazzpower/Live), Pony Poindexter, Bernhard Ullrich, and Tommy Rosenberg. He also recorded with Peter Alexander, Falco, Caterina Valente, Heidelinde Weis, and Katja Ebstein.
