Description
On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the comprehensive renewal elections of the Kreuzlingen executive and the referendum on the museum concept will take place. The town hall will be open to the public and the media from 1:45 PM. The candidates for the city presidency are the current city president Thomas Niederberger (FDP) and Georg Schulthess (independent). For the four seats on the city council, Markus Brüllmann (SP, incumbent), Daniel Moos (Free List, incumbent), Susan Danubio (FDP), Elina Müller (SP), Judith Ricklin (SVP), and Georg Schulthess (independent) are running. It will also be decided whether to increase the annual total contribution to the Seemuseum, the Museum Rosenegg, and the Lake Constance Planetarium and Observatory from CHF 380,000 to CHF 600,000 for the years 2027 to 2036. Once the vote count is completed, the election and referendum results will be announced at the town hall at Löwenstrasse 7. The announcement of results is expected from 2:00 PM. If not all seats are filled in the first round of voting, a second round will be held on November 29, 2026.
