The year 1938 arrives. Everything suddenly begins to change. From the respected Dr. Adler and his family, they become outcasts of society overnight. Their coats must be adorned with a yellow star inscribed JUDE. One day the father leaves. However, he promises to return for Rézi and Tomáš. But by then it will be too late. The siblings, along with their mother, are taken to the Terezín ghetto. Here, together with other families, they endure endless days in harsh conditions...
"One day followed another. Some were long. Others passed quickly. The girls' faces changed rapidly. We had no idea what was happening behind the walls of our room. Let alone what was happening behind the walls of Terezín. Reality was only about the lack of food, the sadness for family, for home. Nothing made sense, and yet it was happening."
In Terezín, Rézi and Tomáš meet other children their age and also a number of caretakers, among whom they meet Tamara, who came to the ghetto the same day as they did. Their stories begin to intertwine and create a mosaic of memories, which gradually remain only as notes from diaries and letters that no one was ever meant to read. The performance "Memories of T. – Studio LAIK" focuses on the fates of children during the Second World War. The story takes place in Terezín and depicts the harsh conditions in which the children lived. The event is held at the cultural center KULTURA ŽĎÁR.
