Description

Adaptation of the film by director and screenwriter Ruben Östlund, awarded the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014 and nominated for a Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Foreign Language Film. A family of four heads to the mountains for winter vacation. The sparkling snow and sun promise joyful experiences. The family relaxes after great skiing on the restaurant terrace. Suddenly, they notice an avalanche rushing towards them. The mother tries to save the children, while the father grabs his phone and runs away. The avalanche was controlled, nothing happened... except that nothing will ever be the same again. Can one cope with such a failure? And can a person be held accountable for their instinctive reactions?
