A co-production of the South Bohemian Theatre and Czech Radio České Budějovice. In České Budějovice, as elsewhere, people spontaneously protested against the occupation. Others were afraid or collaborated with the occupiers. The occupation and subsequent normalization had a profound impact on the entire Czechoslovak society and influenced people's lives for many years to come. The year 1968 is still considered one of the key moments in modern Czech history. What role did the České Budějovice radio play in these dramatic moments? How did the employees experience the tumultuous August days? The docudrama by Marie Špalová draws from authentic recordings preserved in the radio archive and testimonies of witnesses. The performance will be presented directly in the authentic environment of the České Budějovice radio studio.
