Description

On a 9 km loop, we will recall local smuggling affairs from the First Republic, and especially the stories of the Iron Curtain. We will visit the station in Český Heršlák, where T. G. Masaryk first stood on Czech soil in December 1918 after 1914, and where a complex of modern state buildings subsequently grew. During the time of the Iron Curtain, there were attempts to cross the borders using trains, and in the 1950s, agents - pedestrians were also present in these areas. Terrain: the route is moderately challenging, part of the route will be on a meadow. We recommend sturdy hiking shoes. The walk must be reserved by purchasing a ticket. A book titled 'Finanční stráž v Novohradských horách' will be available for purchase on site.
