Susanne Wampfler, an astrophysicist and former assistant professor at the University of Bern, explains how molecules form in space and how radiotelescopes provide insights into our cosmic beginnings. The talk covers differences between molecules in space and on Earth, what star light reveals about stellar composition, and what we learn from analyzing star dust. Attendees will gain a fascinating understanding of the chemistry of the universe and the processes that lead to star and planet formation.
