African vocal polyphony from Central Africa with healing aspects and improvisation. The depth and diversity of Central African polyphonic and polyrhythmic singing are explored, including cultural background, traditional and contemporary forms, as well as some aspects to strengthen the human voice. The sound journey is enhanced by vocal improvisation in inspiring, creative moods. African music offers space for well-being and musical experience. Njamy Sitson is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, storyteller, and shaman from Cameroon. He advocates a holistic view of singing, based on traditional and contemporary African music. He is a world-class musician without borders. Njamy Sitson creates music that promotes understanding among peoples. He is a member of the E. V. T. A. (European Association of Voice Pedagogues). "Singing is much more than hitting the note, it is about shaping space and time" In a personal group, the transformative power of voice, melodies, and rhythms can be discovered. Njamy Sitson invites you to connect with traditional polyrhythmic and polyphonic sounds and to experience the ceremonial nature of human gathering. Old and new sacred songs are learned, and it is discovered how deeper transformation can arise through mutual presence and collective energy. Rhythms, dance, storytelling, and play awaken dormant spirits and foster creative potential. Together, the voices are united into a new form of collective sound. Space is created to feel one's own gift and connection and to experience a touch of an ancient, nature-connected power. Open to all who enjoy singing. No experience or knowledge of notes required.
