Description
On the occasion of a privileged event, Niklaus Manuel Güdel, the exhibition curator, invites you to discover the Ferdinand Hodler exhibition. A selection of about fifty paintings, drawings, and documents from prestigious art collections in Switzerland and Germany.
From his early Protestant-inspired religious scenes to his large symbolist compositions, Hodler's work reveals itself as a true modern spiritual quest. Nature, body, rhythm, and harmony of forms become expressions of an inner search, where the artist explores the unity between the human being, the natural world, and a universal harmony.
Throughout the course, Niklaus Manuel Güdel will share the keys to understanding this exhibition and reveal the contemplative and deeply personal dimension of Hodler's work.
