Description
For the work group "Borderland," the artist Kerstin Kubalek and the photographer Christoph Laib photographed the bunker facilities of the Kreuzlingen fortress belt during two winters from 2018 to 2020. Around 40 photographs were printed on Hahnemühle paper and mounted on MDF boards. Then coated with layers of wax, the bunkers appear detached from the world. In the exhibition, they are also related to contemporary voices and memories. This makes the situation very vivid and real.
