The renowned lutenist and composer Lee Santana has compiled and arranged a special selection from Philippe Verdelot's (1480‒1532) rich body of work under the title "Early Italian Madrigals" for two special concerts in Switzerland with the vocal quartet Aquileja, focusing on "Early Madrigals." Philippe Verdelot shaped the music history of his time through his numerous madrigals. He is considered a trailblazer and pioneer who set new standards for generations.
