Description
Never before have so many people lived on our planet as today. "Civilization" shows images of the global, Western-influenced society in documentary and artistic photographs. Around 100 photographers illustrate key events and experiences that, despite all diversity and differences, repeatedly connect people. Thus, the personal cosmos can be found in the great hustle and bustle. And the big picture is expressed in the small everyday. From this perspective, we look at the exhibition's images in a group and express themes such as "disappearance of the individual in the crowd," "feeling lonely in society," or "being part of something bigger" with the body. With Franziska Hess, Museum of Design, and Bettina Holzhausen, Ballet Zurich
