«Unapologetic Notes»

Description

The contemporary and experimental music scene is fast-paced. Rarely is there time for a searching working method, for open processes, and for engaging with each other without already having a finished result in mind. With their artist residency, IGNM Basel consciously creates space for exactly this form of collaborative work.
At the first edition in March 2026, Martina Lussi, Tapiwa Svosve, Manuel Troller, and Nora Vetter met. Four artists from different areas of experimental music were given a week to research, experiment, and create together. A year later, they continued their collaboration at Gare du Nord. What emerges from this renewed encounter remains open, in the spirit of the residency. Participants and additional information:
