Description
On Sunday, November 1st, dance will take over Les 6 toits with a morning of activities offered to local families. Designed as a time of discovery and sharing, this event will invite children and adults alike to enter the world of movement in an accessible and friendly way. Starting at 9:30 am, a coffee/croissant reception will open the event, before giving way to a contemporary performance driven by the rhythms and colors of Cuba. Students from the pre-professional contemporary dance program will connect dance with Leo Brouwer's guitar to make this morning a vibrant invitation to movement and sharing. Correction: The hip-hop demonstration initially scheduled is canceled. The event will continue with a wake-up and movement initiation workshop for 3-5 year olds (registration required), designed to encourage bodily exploration, play, and imagination. Through activities suitable for the youngest, families will be invited to move together, observe, try, and share a joyful and unifying artistic moment.
