«TROTZDÄM» – A Solo Program by DANIELA DILL

Daniela Dill has been active on the spoken word stages for a long time. She started many years ago with poetry slam and theater, and occasionally appears with her band «DILL & KRAUT». Now, the Basel-based spoken word author has come up with something new: with «TROTZDÄM», she brings her first full-length solo program to the stage. In «TROTZDÄM», Daniela Dill tells autofictional stories that take the audience into a world of family disappointments, which fans of her music could partly already hear in her songs. These disappointments are «gfüetteret wie Suurdäig» and repeat across generations. Daniela Dill makes it her task to search for the deceptions underlying these disappointments. Perhaps at least some unpleasant experiences can finally be left behind after a few generations, breaking the cycle. The author delves into words and examines Jeremias Gotthelf, whose «Ämmitaler Idylle» she senses the core of these unspeakable deceptions, «der Grund, der Bode, der Acher, in däm d Enttüschig vo der Mueter ihri Wurzle gschlage het.» Co-performers and additional information: Daniela Dill
