The Book Before Printing workshop by Erin Honeycutt examines how publishing can serve as a form of resistance against containment and fragmentation in prisons. It investigates tactics, forms, and materialities of publishing as a political instrument, emphasizing how space and time are intertwined in incarceration. Participants will engage in creating a publication-object using eclipse methodology, reflecting on absence and the politics of memory, with a focus on the deceleration of time and the creation of counterarchival densities.
