Trio Tihai - Acoustic World Music

Description

Trio Tihai is a Berlin-based ensemble for acoustic world music – born from the musical melting pot of the city. Three musicians with different backgrounds come together here: Claus Rückbeil with the Indian Bansuri flute, Marko Jovanović with the harmonica, and Lutz Schlosser with guitar in a Jimi Hendrix-inspired mood. Together, they combine Indian Raga tradition, Balkan melodies, and Gypsy jazz with elements from blues, folk, tango, and reggae. The repertoire includes original compositions as well as rarely performed pieces from various musical traditions. In their interplay, they develop their music spontaneously. Improvisation is central: the pieces emerge in movement and incorporate different influences into an independent, improvisation-driven music that has an immediate impact through its intensity and atmospheric density. Trio Tihai stands for music that unfolds between rhythmic energy and narrative openness and reshapes itself at every concert. The trio presents its debut album during its CD release concert. Line-up
