"[tʃlˈfɪk]: Sounding Cultural History in Schanfigg" Since June 22, 2024, sound installations have been placed along the Dörferweg Schanfigg, through which the cultural history in Schanfigg becomes sensually experienceable. Diverse approaches to local cultural history
The installations rely on a strong local reference and unfold the local cultural history. For example, next to the Hochwang sports slopes in Fatschél, après-ski hits play from a jukebox, and in front of the water castle in Lüen, electronic random frequencies can be heard, sensitizing to the interplay of hydropower and electricity. Other stations deal with the theme of traditional crafts, such as grain threshing, the sound of the Walser dialect, or the backstory around the Swiss music hit "Gigi vo Arosa." A cultural tourism project that is both educational and identity-forming.

In 1920, a new covered sawmill was built in Tschiertschen. It rarely awakens thanks to the power of water and makes a lot of noise. And otherwise? Do you hear the silence all around? Or does the saw never really fall silent? In Ausserpraden, there is an interactive sound station that recalls the emigrants. Hardship forced them to leave around 1850. Many traveled to America, the Atlantic coast, or the Mediterranean to find a livelihood. Those left behind read their letters and imagined the journey and the sea.
