Description

Fritz Hauser, Frames Percussion and the KlangLab Ensemble are organizing an evening of concerts as a multi-layered sound process, in which the space becomes a membrane and the audience becomes a sensor. The focus is on the work of Swiss composer Fritz Hauser.
With "Drumvoice," Hauser tells his musical autobiography, while "Timestretch" puts time, space, and sound into a new relationship for nine percussionists. Two world premieres continue this engagement with contemporary percussion: a cymbal trio by Fritz Hauser for KlangLab and a new percussion sextet by Spanish composer and pianist Haize Lizarazu for Frames Percussion.
