Thun-Panorama: Das Rundbild von Marquard Wocher

Description

Created in 1814 by Basel artist Marquard Wocher, this 38-meter-long panorama provides a detailed view of Thun and its surroundings, extending to the Bernese Alps. It is the oldest surviving panorama in the world and is part of the Gottfried Keller Foundation's collection. During the 2026 season, special guided tours will be available to explore this remarkable piece of history and art.
