Description

This special themed tour invites you to explore the exhibition «Sport and Leisure in Works from the Würth Collection» from two different perspectives: an art educator and a sports scientist will guide you through the exhibition, highlighting selected exhibits from both an art historical and sports scientific point of view. What do artworks reveal about the fascination with sports? How do they reflect movement, body culture, and sporting activities? And what sporting, societal, or historical backgrounds are hidden behind the representations? Look forward to an entertaining tour with surprising perspectives and exciting insights into two disciplines that are more connected than one might initially think. Prof. Claudia Sturzenegger is head of the Institute of Cultural and Aesthetic Education at PHSG and a guide at the Forum Würth Rorschach. Prof. Dr. Matthias Baumgartner is head of the Institute of Movement, Sport, and Health at PHSG.
