On the Birkenhof, the prickly maid Annarös (Luzia Kollegger) and the nagging farmhand Nöldi (Patrick Breitenmoser) argue daily. They forget their work in the process. However, this is not the only problem for farmer Heiri (Ivan Breitenmoser). His bull has completely lost interest in the cows. His breeding operation is on the verge of ruin. Fortunately, the two neighboring sisters Ursi (Romana Rusterholz) and Antonia (Marlis Schircks) have found a "love potion for cattle" on the internet. And so, the product from China arrives at the Birkenhof. Meanwhile, carpenter Hans-Joggi (Ivan Locher) is repairing a stuck door in the farmhouse. He is just as stuck himself, as he would love to have a woman. Nöldi is there to help him. Soon, Hans-Joggi has the opportunity to try out his pickup lines. However, the two distillers Vreni (Petra Federspiel) and Käthi (Marisa Crameri), who bring a delivery, show little enthusiasm. Nöldi, on the other hand, is thrilled when his childhood sweetheart Susanne (Livia Umiker) unexpectedly shows up at the Birkenhof and wants to persuade him to go on a vacation together. This, in turn, infuriates Annarös. Perhaps the bull is not the only one on the farm who could use a few love drops.
