Description
The Confectionery of the Blind Cat. A play by Ivan Vyskočil, which Ivan Vyskočil never wrote, and so we put it together ourselves. Welcome to Prague in 1936. In a forgotten confectionery on the outskirts of the city, pastries, illusions, and certainties disappear. A confectioner who can no longer stand sweets, making them with a blindfold on, a daughter longing to escape anywhere where someone would truly see her, an assistant lost between philosophy and love – and the world outside the window, which is slowly changing. A bittersweet play full of humor, exaggeration, and unsettling questions: What if the world is changing and we only notice it when the display window is empty? Recommended for fans of Ionesco, Havel, Beckett, Vyskočil, and anyone who occasionally wants to leave home with a suitcase full of feathers. Written and directed by: Luboš PavelStarring: Šárka Andělová, Boris Dědina, Helena Myslivečková, Luboš Pavel, Dana Pilařová, Josef Rajchl, Marek Šácha, and Markéta Vránová
