From San Francisco to Lenzburg, from singer to lady of the manor: Emilie Wedekind-Kammerer led a turbulent life. Time and again, she had to stand up for her own interests and those of her children. In 1872, her husband bought Lenzburg Castle without her knowledge. 21 years later, she found a buyer for the "pile of stones". And thus saved her children's inheritance.
