The Songs of Cat Stevens - A tribute performed by the Peace Cats

Description

The Peace Cats – a tribute to the songs of Cat Stevens
“The Peace Cats” are an impressive homage to one of the most significant singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s: Cat Stevens. Few artists have produced so many iconic worldwide hits in the realm of folk and soft rock, all of which enjoy cult status today and are undoubtedly considered evergreens.
Four musicians led by Karlsruhe singer and guitarist Tunc Süzer have made it their mission to interpret Cat Stevens' songs in an acoustic style. On one hand, very close to the original, on the other hand, with loving, fresh variations, without losing the character of the songs. Tunc Süzer sings Cat Stevens' hits with dedication and remarkable authenticity, managing to infuse each line with his own touch.
Visitors can expect a journey back to the world of folk music and soft rock of that time. A concert experience for singing along and listening – but also for reflection and rediscovering both new and forgotten songs. Naturally, all the hits such as “Morning has Broken,” “Father and Son,” “Wild World,” “Moon Shadow,” “Peace Train,” and even “Young very Young” are included. The large number of hits nearly fills the entire concert evening – yet lesser-known titles also find their place in the band's repertoire, rounding off the musical journey and charmingly reviving old memories. www.thepeacecats.de The Peace Cats are: Tunc Süzer – vocals and guitar
