The Karlsruhe band Salty Tunes invites you to SANDKORN and celebrates twice: four years of band history and a 45th birthday! With their unmistakable sound of classical and jazz, the quartet also delights this autumn with a program full of surprises. The arrangements by pianist Daniel "Salty" Salzmann blend familiar and beloved pieces from classical and pop with groove, swing, and the full spectrum of jazz. An exploration into new sound worlds for classical lovers and jazz fans – impressively performed by frontman Leon Winkler. A special evening for bassist Paul Cervenec, who founded the project four years ago and forms not only the musical foundation of the band with contra- and electric bass but is also the birthday child.
