Description

Truffaldino in trouble or how to properly serve dishes and information? Merchant Pantalone de Bisognosi has a daughter whom he has just betrothed to the son of Doctor Lombardi. The young couple's world soon collapses when it turns out that the original wealthy fiancé of the girl is not dead, as everyone thought. He has just arrived in Venice with his servant Truffaldino and intends to marry. However, his identity is suspicious, as he is more interested in acquiring money and time than the girl. Moreover, he keeps forgetting that even a servant needs to eat sometimes. Desperately hungry, Truffaldino, under the promise of lunch, allows himself to be hired by another master – a secretive man of a fiery temperament. This sets off a cascade of misunderstandings and unexpected twists, bringing ever more shocking revelations. The most famous comedy by Carlo Goldoni.
