They hit every desired target – except one: for the last bullet is directed by the devil himself… The music for this darkly absurd parable comes from Tom Waits, who is considered one of the most distinctive figures in the American music scene with his unmistakable style that blends blues, ballad, and dark variety. His signature shapes the piece: raw, surreal, and full of abysses. The Black Rider quickly became a cult classic after its premiere in 1990 in Hamburg.
