Description
The third title will be the play by Tomáš Vůjtek, Tenkrát v Rusku. Its theme is the fall of the Tsarist Empire, associated with the eccentric 'holy man' Grigori Rasputin. The old regime is dying, and from the revolutionary blood, a new one is born, which is certainly not humane. Rasputin predicted it all, but he was not a trustworthy prophet for everyone. His sexual escapades, through which he drove the 'devil of lust' from the bosoms of noble and less noble ladies, had already made him famous throughout Europe. A group of revolutionary investigators is trying to 'uncover' the revolutionary truth about the fall of the autocracy. Their recorder is a poet who naively believes in the goodness of the revolution and a happy future for Russia. The beauty of the revolution is confronted before his eyes with the ugliness of their deeds.
