Pure sea voyage – no frills, but with chatter
The sea voyage is a world of its own – and the true home of the CAP SAN DIEGO. To experience it as authentically as possible, we forego the usual catering and musical entertainment on this special trip. Instead, our experienced crew members share as much of their seamanship knowledge and skills as possible. This is great fun for our crew and attracts many like-minded people on deck and in the engine room. The following seamanship maneuvers and exercises are planned:

• Anchor maneuver
• Lifeboat drill
• Firefighting exercise including fire alarm

Downstream of Elbe, we slowly leave the busy and urban port environment behind and enjoy the partly nature-protected river landscapes of the Elbe. On the Elbe, we initiate the turning maneuver and then head back to our home port. Experience ship technology live:
Throughout the entire trip, the Cap San Diego can be visited at all stations, and you can experience every maneuver up close in the engine room and on the bridge. Our volunteer crew is available for all questions and is always up for a seamanship chat. A very special experience awaits you in the impressive engine room: during the trip, you can see the fascinating technology in operation live. The CAP SAN DIEGO is unique worldwide: nowhere else is there a larger, still seaworthy museum ship of this class from the era of breakbulk cargo ships. Services:
