Tanz in Bern: Unconscious Bias & Anti-Racism Language

Description

Tanz in Bern feat. Baba Academy THU 5.11.26 18:00 Duration: 3.5 hours (with breaks) Language: German with translation into Swiss German Sign Language (DSGS) Note: The costs should not prevent you from participating. Contact us by email at kasse@dampfzentrale. ch, we will find a solution together. As human as our breathing: pigeonholing, thinking in patterns, and quick labeling. Although these can be helpful in everyday life, these thought and behavior patterns lead to exclusion and injuries – often unconsciously. In the workshop with Baba Academy, we will explore the prejudices that shape us and look for approaches to handle them more consciously. We will discuss current debates around origin, belonging, and gender-appropriate language and see what reflective and respectful communication can look like. For everyone who wants to look where it hurts in a safe environment. For everyone who wants to do it differently. For everyone who wants to be human.
