Swimming Pool & Tiramisadness

Description

Swimming Pool is a duo from The Hague and Zurich, consisting of Klyl Shifroni and Seraina Fassler. They met during their Sonology studies, where they connected through their shared taste and passion for songwriting.
As Swimming Pool, the two transcend musical boundaries: by refining song structures with electronics, they create a unique sound world. Their debut EP «Line Cuts» (2025) combines string bass layers, vocal harmonies, and sampling techniques to create a gentle and intimate atmosphere. Tiramisadness is a group of four musicians from Basel who have been collaborating since 2020 in favor of “undefined synth-pop”: improvised musical elements meet passages with clear song structures, living off imaginative landscapes, repetitive rhythms, and the sound bank of their old Casiotone keyboard. The songs by Dshamilja Kalt (synth, vocals), Jasmina Kalt (synth, vocals), and Christian Büttiker (bass, synth) are sometimes short, sometimes longer invitations to search for melodies and harmonic ideas that develop slowly or abruptly into new passages.
