Description

This exhibition by Zurich-based artist Susanne Keller showcases delicate dioramas, spherical photographs, and poems that invite viewers into a contemplative journey through her poetic and imaginative worlds. The display emphasizes the value of slow, mindful observation and the exploration of unexpected perspectives, drawing inspiration from the nearby panoramic painting by Marquard Wocher. Keller's Guckkasten series (2007) uses peep-holes to guide visitors through circus, opera, and fairground scenes, reminiscent of historical visual storytelling. Complemented by her black-and-white series Körner Gaumen mundet (2005-2007), the works evoke nostalgic memories and reflections on perception and memory. The exhibition also features texts and poems on large glass windows, exploring themes of human perception, artistic process, and theatricality.
