Inspired by the love story of Clara and Robert Schumann, Sublime Idylle invites you on a journey into the intimate world of one of the most fascinating artist couples of musical Romanticism. Excerpts from their correspondence, Jean-Pierre Milovanoff's narration Clara plays for Robert, as well as Robert Schumann's famous advice for young musicians, combine literature and music into a poetic dialogue. The texts are framed by works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms. Between words and music, an evening is created that celebrates love, creativity, and inspiration, making the power of an artistic dialogue across time tangible.
