Giuseppe Verdi Overture to the opera Nabucco Ludwig van Beethoven Violin Concerto and Orchestra D-Dur op.61 Franz Schubert Symphony No. 8 C-Dur D 944 Great Musical Awakening and Desire for Freedom: Together with the exceptional violinist Viviane Hagner, the Stuttgart Philharmonic under the direction of Alexander Liebreich presents three works that explore the pursuit of external and internal independence. Verdi's Nabucco Overture captures the energy of a piece that narrates a musical signal of oppression and liberation – an exciting opening that sets the dramatic tone of the evening.
