STO ZVÍŘAT has just completed a new album. The new album “Žádná poezie” will be released in the fall of 2026. Press release dated 7 September 2026. The band STO ZVÍŘAT has just finished their new album at Sono Records. This is their fifteenth album, titled “Žádná poezie,” and it will be released this fall under the label 100PROmotion. Three years ago in August, the founder, spiritual father, and bandleader Jan Kalina unexpectedly passed away. Since then, it was unclear what would happen to the band. “We were scared and didn’t know what would happen. The only thing we knew was that we had to release Noční ptáci that year; it was Jeník's most cherished album, which he took great care of, but unfortunately, he didn’t live to see that release.” (Jana Jelínková, singer and current bandleader). The band decided that despite the difficult task, they would go on tour with Noční ptáci, welcoming Míra Barabáš as the new singer and bringing back two former members, Miki Nop and Honza Šobr. “I think he would be glad that the band continues to play because Honza lived for this,” shared guitarist Honza Šobr, known as Beruška. The audience at the concerts would decide the band's future, and they have played a significant role in the band coming out with a new album, Žádná poezie, in 2026. They reacted enthusiastically. The audience clearly expressed their desire for the band to continue even after Honza's death. “Žádná poezie is the first album without Honza. Working on this album was a great challenge for all of us. Honza was the one who kept everything under his protective wing, not only the musical aspect but also the visual side of the album, as he was also a trained visual artist and graphic designer. So, deciding who would take over the visual aspect of the new album was a difficult question.” (Šimon Kotek, band manager, publisher 100PROmotion). Jana Jelínková, along with Tomáš Belka, co-founder and sole lyricist of the band, agreed that the graphics would stay “in the family” and approached his son Šimon Lánský, a renowned 3D artist and concept artist. The continuity of Sto zvířat's artistic creation is also ensured by the fact that the musical direction has been taken over by former guitarist Kuba Červinka, who musically produced the previous album Noční ptáci with Honza Kalina, and now in the case of Žádná poezie, he takes up Honza's metaphorical scepter.
