Concert & Evening Program: From 3:15 PM – Concert Bar & Art in the foyer of the Remise 4:00 – 5:45 PM – Concert with Chris Hopkins’ International Multi-Instrumentalists (intermission with concert bar) 6:00 – 9:00 PM – optional dinner (reservation required) The well-known and multiple award-winning German-American Chris Hopkins invites you on a jazz journey in the style of swing from the 1920s to 1950s. Accompanied by an international all-star ensemble featuring Colin Dawson (GB, tp/g/voc), Stan Lafferière (FR, g/p/dm/voc), and Karel Algoed (BE, b/voc). All four musicians have been outstanding soloists in their genre for decades and are also skilled multi-instrumentalists. Whether trumpet, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, drums, or vocals – instruments are constantly exchanged, creating surprising sound colors, spontaneous combinations, and special musical moments. Bandleader Chris Hopkins (p/sax) brings his experience from over 5,000 concerts and three decades of stage presence. Together, the four exceptional musicians take their audience on a musical journey from New Orleans to New York – and beyond.
