5th Sunday Concert

Description

Concert program featuring works by L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, and S. Rachmaninoff Alexandra Dovgan feels at the piano "like a painter who paints not with colors, but with sounds." The 19-year-old pianist possesses an artistic maturity and clarity that far exceeds her age, according to her mentor Grigory Sokolov. In her solo programs, she plays works by composers to whom she feels particularly connected: "I see this as the most beautiful aspect of my art: through sounds, I convey something very important from heart to heart. I am very grateful for the opportunity to perform wonderful works and to make people a little happier."
