Description

The sonic. art Saxophonquartett is a chamber music ensemble with an international flair, as its members come from Australia, Belarus, Japan, and Thuringia, and have studied in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and London. The four saxophonists formed the group in 2005 and have since developed their own unique style. On the first Advent weekend, they will perform special Christmas pieces from their rich repertoire, including excerpts from J. S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio and P. I. Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. Additionally, J. Brahms' "Hungarian Dances" and selected works by Bernstein will be heard, creating entirely new sound experiences on the instruments. With much charm and sensitivity, as well as a pleasant stage presence, sonic. art has rightly earned a reputation as a top-class ensemble. Adrian Tully – Soprano Saxophone
