The “Espace annexe” is both a place and a vibrant project that has been supporting artists with diverse orientations and forms of expression since April 2022. Located on the Gurzelen grounds in Biel, it creates connections between various players in the cultural scene through openings and exhibitions. The continuous support of emerging artists is at the heart of the activities of the “Espace annexe”. Biography: Andrea Cindy Raemy Andrea Cindy Raemy lives in Biel. She obtained a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and a Master in Contemporary Art Practice with a focus on Fine Arts from the Bern University of the Arts (HKB). She primarily works with the media of sculpture and installation. Her artistic practice is process- and experience-oriented, thus unfolding the transformative power of craftsmanship, material, and assemblage. Her work engages with societal conventions and explores the blurred boundaries between inner dynamics and external expectations. Although her practice is often shaped by her immediate surroundings and personal observations, she uses imagination to bridge the gap between her experiences and their perception.
