While the protagonist, as a witness to a fatal accident, waits at the police station for words that might make the event comprehensible, her thoughts keep drifting away: to memories of everyday scenes and existential experiences, to farewells, unspoken things, to unhatched chicks or a dead fish heart that beats once more… In between endless summers and the fragile life that continues undeterred in everyday life. A graphic novel about holding on, letting go, and remembering. About the moment when you realize that everything is fleeting, and the impossibility of understanding life — and the persistent attempt to tell it anyway.
