Ueli Binggeli, originally from Schwarzenburg, has made a name for himself over the years as a stage designer and lighting designer. For some time now, he has also been expressing his creativity in the visual arts, having created smaller and larger sculptures of archaic simplicity.
Ueli Binggeli's preferred materials are wood, partly sourced from the Gantrisch region, and concrete cast in molds. The artist is fascinated by their texture, also because working with and producing them requires endurance and discipline. The abstract sculptures, partly left in their natural state and partly designed with sophisticated color gradients, are based on themes such as movement, independence, and life.
