A professor at the Hradec Králové gymnasium, whose research, creative, and pedagogical enthusiasm knew no bounds, became a true prototype of the famous Jára Cimrman. Karel Čapek called him "the Don Quixote of the 19th century, whose Dulcinea was science." The new production by Divadlo Drak embarks on a playful journey through his unexpected ideas, bizarre discoveries, and immense passion for knowledge. A trip into the soul of a man whose imagination knew no limits, for whom research and invention were an adventure, and who was undeterred by any failure. And there were many!
Therefore, we invite you to his remarkable, extraordinary hour of natural history. With the help of his fellow researchers, physical quantities of debts, hams, temperature, moons, and time, he will show you the world as you have never seen it before. He will explain what you did not know and what you did not even know you wanted to know. He will solve problems you didn't even know you had. He will invite you into his universe of thoughts and ideas, where a meter is a meter, but also is not. He will offer you a palette of his inventions that make the world better. Or at least more cheerful. And above all, he will infect you with his unceasing passion for discovery, thinking, and learning. Knowledge is pure joy! And those who do not know this know nothing.
