Tobin Taxi disbanded in 2010 after a legendary final concert at Sous Le Pont. In 2022, they returned for a single night at the packed Rössli. Now, just four years later, the next exclusive reunion follows: Tobin Taxi is back! The Bernese octet shared the stage in the 2000s, at the height of the third ska wave, with big names like New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Ya Basta, Wazomba, Quatre In Toulouse, Tut Das Not, and Eastern Standard Time. 126 concerts, a reputation as an explosive live band, unbridled energy, a bit of Dada, a lot of Gaga. Today, the scene meets less frequently. However, the hugs at every reunion are all the more heartfelt. Ska will finally celebrate a pre-Christmas Back in Town in 2026 when Tobin Taxi tests the relevance of their repertoire of street ska hits, Two Tone stompers, uncompromisingly played swing shuffles, and the occasional rocksteady number once again. The instruments will be pulled out from the attic, the joints cautiously prepared for dancing, and the band members summoned to Bern from the vastness of the western Hungarian Puszta, the resistance nest Chicago, and the wild hamlet Chäs u Brot. The anticipation for a unique evening with old and new faces is immense!
