Singing together: Ratzliedli-Tröff

Description

It is therefore a short joking or mocking song. In the past, the term "Tratzliedli" was often used. They are usually two- or four-line rhymes that used to be sung at dances, in social gatherings, at a Stobede, during relaxed get-togethers, when "zo Stobede goh", in front of the alpine hut, at the Chilbi, etc. The lyrics are rural, peasant, folk poetry.

Thanks to their simplicity and punchline, they are often passed down through generations by word of mouth and have undergone many different variations. A typical feature of many verses is the "double motif", where the ending of the two opposing rhyming pairs can usually be anticipated.
