Description

To the delight of the numerous spectators standing along the village street, individual farmers drive to the show in the traditional Sennisch style, i. e. in the tried and tested order of the Alpabzug and in the appropriate traditional costume in yellow pants with a red breast cloth or the working day costume from outside Rhodes. Everyone enters the area under a wooden triumphal arch decorated with fir branches, flowers and ribbons. The cattle are tethered to long poles according to predetermined categories. The judging panel, consisting of experienced farmers, now begins its work. They judge the animals according to their beauty and performance and rank them in the correct order. The most beautiful animals are decorated with a wreath of paper flowers. Young breeders are also allowed to take part in many shows and exhibit their goats. Timetable: - It is recommended to arrive early for the start at 9.30 am and return home at 3.30 pm - At 10.30 a. m. the young breeders will be introduced - The awards ceremony will take place from 1.30 pm Other animals will receive a wreath of paper flowers tied around their horns - The vintage tractors return home at around 3.15 pm - From 3.30 pm it's "Abloo": the animals are brought back to the farms. - In the evening, the farmers and their families meet in the hall of an inn for the show critique and prize distribution. This is followed by a down-to-earth celebration with singing, cheering and dancing. Good to know: - Catering is available right next to the cattle showground - The young band "Heb di am Grass" and "Ländlertrio Wilti gruess" provide entertainment - Children sell Mohrenköpfe - There is a petting zoo, goats, ponies and pigs - There will also be a harass climbing and can throwing event - Various parking spaces are distributed throughout the village - Vintage tractors drive up in front of the animals
