Description

On the first Sunday of Advent, "Singing Advent" invites you again to the Kollegiumskirche. The event has established itself in Schwyz as a major community project on the first Sunday of Advent and attracts a large audience each time. Cristina Marugg, musician and choir director from Rickenbach SZ, describes the concept behind the concert: "It is very important to me to bring young and old from the Schwyz valley basin and the surrounding area together and to motivate and inspire them to sing - whether as singers in the large project choir ad hoc or in the audience, which is also invited to sing along in some songs." This year, COR the chamber choir sets musical accents and ensures a high-quality listening experience.
The choirs are accompanied by the well-known accordionist Andrea Ulrich from Schwyz and the young flutist Andrea Zeindler from Schwyz. As every year, Peter Fröhlich participates on the organ.
The overall direction is, as usual, held by Cristina Marugg.

General Information

On the first Sunday of Advent, the concert "Singing Advent" takes place in the Kollegiumskirche in Schwyz. It brings together young and old for communal singing of Advent and Christmas songs from around the world, supported by a project choir and professional musicians.
