folk, experimental The duo of guitarists Jakub Šimanský and Tomáš Niesner debuted with the album Tance neznámé, released on the Stoned to Death label in 2019. Both players share nearly a decade of experience in the noise-rock band Unna. In 2016, Šimanský transitioned to a solo career and released his debut Face to Face Against American Primitivism in Eastern Europe Vol. I. Shortly after, Šimanský and Niesner capitalized on their long-standing synergy and began working on a joint album, which was followed by relatively intense touring and writing new songs. Their music showcases diversity and a unique approach to tuning, rhythm, mantric repetitiveness, as well as a sense for captivating melodies, connecting the duo to the tradition of American primitivism, Czech folk, and influences from Eastern music. In 2020, their track appeared on the compilation Imaginational Anthem Vol. X from the American label Tompkins Square. Šimanský and Niesner subsequently released their second full-length album Všechno Dobré. In September 2023, they released a new album Jako doma and are currently working on new recordings.
