Description

As signs of dementia first appear in Vincent, it not only affects him. His best friend Robert sees their regulars' table at risk, which for him as a single person is much more than just a regular card game gathering. He actually wants everything to continue as before. But Vincent's illness throws a wrench in his plans. He decides to accompany his friend through the different phases of dementia. The roles that have been established over decades in their friendship begin to change... In addition to traditional research through books and conversations, the author completed a three-month nursing internship at the Heimberg retirement center on a ward with cognitively impaired residents.
